LOCATED BETWEEN ST-JOSEPH AND DES PINS STREETS, VILLAGE MAGINO WILL MEET 5 MAJOR COMMUNITY NEEDS:
- Address the need to build a temporary accommodations facility for Argonaut Gold Magino Project while they build the mine infrastructure (18-36 months)
- Address the 1989, Ontario Regulation #102/89, the Wawa-Dubreuilville Zoning Order – 57-MZOA-194861 imposed by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing forbidding Mining companies to set up larger scale accommodations on mining sites in favor of promoting the economic development the communities of Wawa and Dubreuilville
- Increase the residential family home offering in the community (Phase 2)
- Encourage the retention and settlement of new families in the community (Phases 2-4)
- Contribute to local economic development and prosperity of the community
This initiative corresponds to “de facto recommendations” of all the surveys, studies, and assessments the municipality and special interest groups have conducted over the last 10 years.
